Victoria wakes up for her sixteenth birthday hoping for a betrothal. Instead, she finds out that her uncle Thomas has been keeping a secret about her past and why she came to live with him fourteen years ago. Along with Victoria’s boyfriend, the three must work to take back the kingdom from the evil sorcerer Kybon and his nefarious plans to start a civil war. Veronica has been writing her whole life. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her husband Adrian and their dog Boba Fett. She received a BA in Creative Writing at Louisiana State University in 2004. She currently works as a reading interventionist at a wonderful charter high school in Baton Rouge. She enjoys helping kids improve their reading skills because she had really great teachers that helped her cope with dyslexia.
